Ann took Jimmy and I for a good 1.5 hour walk around her neighbourhood. It's absolutely beautiful!! I almost didn’t feel like I was in the country to be honest.

All the homes in her neighbourhood are custom built and a lot of them are very modern looking. This also applies to the landscaping around these homes as well.

Hey everyone! Just a quick update to let you all know that we have arrived safe and sound in Oosterhout (fromSchipol) at Fred and Jenny's (Rob's extended familly). The weather is not so great right now (rain and wind)... Oh well. We haven't really had a chance to explore yet, just cuz we're so tired... Jetlag is a wonderful thing. Actually, I'm not so tired, but Rob is. Oh, remember how I said Gatwick airport was huge ...

We gave it another go and it's still aining in Holland. I wonder if has actually stopped while we were away? Gouda provided us with a car parking that we could a) park in (no height barrier AND a big enough space) and b) ley us park in overnight - a very rare event in Southern Holland. We hade spent too much time in Germany on the way here so we didn't bother trying to see much else of the country .... we will have to do that another time

... bus (trams stop running around 12 midnight) back to the Leidseplein and Jaimi and I went back to the hotel.....Now things start to get weird......At 1:30 almost 1:45 Jaimi (who for the record does not smoke or drink) starts to snack on some of the junk food in our room, then on to something salty and she decimates my pistachio stash, and she was giggling, and giggling and all I could imagine is she had gotten into my stash....we laughed and laughed as she giggled and ate...we call it the munchies...

... signed up for our first 30 hours of private lessons with a woman named Sanne. I meet for 2-hour sessions once a week. After seeing virtually no progress, Sanne thought it might be a nice idea to have me read a kids book called Jip and Janneke. It's a book full of short stories about a little boy (Jip) and his girl neighbor (Janneke). The pair does all sorts of things together. They are pretty lame stories about getting their haircut or sleeping over the other's house ...
