... I have some cash left. Also, we did another Arab Bath (“hammam”) at 6pm, right when the heat has melted your spirits ‘cause you forgot to go inside for the past 2 hrs. for a siesta. At 6pm, you could fire grapeshot down any street and hit nothing; it’s that dead. Blame it on our hot star.
Ahhh, the Bath. Susan says everyone in the hammam at Granada was hetero but here ...

... the bucket full of water. 7 minutes before the bell rang Scott asked, "where´s your costume?" First I laughed, but then realized that he was serious. Luckily I have the creativity of a first grader, I had make up in my purse, and 2 headbands in my backpack. 2 minutes before the bell rang Scott and I were dressed and ready to fight the crowds of students that were about pour out of the classrooms ...
Córdoba, Spain mathesonduo... We left the bodega and walked only about 10 minutes to the bridge to cross the Guadalquivir River. From there, the view was gorgeous - it looked like Disney World at night. About 10,000 white lights (as I am told) decorated the buildings on the other side of the river. As we got closer, the streets were lined with vendors selling fresh local fruit, homemade candies, and churros (the Spanish equivalent of chocolate-covered funnel cakes). Inside, it was ...
Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands dineymarieWe get to Cordoba and this German guy seems to be lingering around. I'm more than happy to lend a hand to a fellow traveler. I tell all of them, I'm first going to tourist information across the street in the train station to get a map of the city and hostel locations. The German guy follows me along. After getting that and using the loo I/we end up meeting up with the Aussie couple. According to them we have to catch one of 2 buses to get to the city ...
Córdoba, Spain kasia-wawUp and at 'em early again this morning, we hopped a train out of Sevilla Santa Justa bound for Córdoba station. Just as in Sevilla, the suburbs are hideously bland and modern, but after about 15 to 20 minutes walk, we got into the picturesque historic center. Unlike Sevilla's colorful old barrios, Córdoba's Judería is a labyrinthine district of whitewashed buildings and cobbled streets. Equally beautiful in its own way though ...
Cordoba, Spain xerius... and chatting. Tara is in my art class and is in a differnt program then CIEE, API. Lots of the students that I take my Universidad de Sevilla classes with are in the API program and they do a ton of traveling. Later I went to a Tetera with Becca, Heater & Reina. It had a strong Arabic vibe and the tea was very good but a bit pricy (2.50 Euro). Buenas Noches, Megan
Seville, Spain mingozingoHola! Last night I met up with Heather, Rena, & Becca and we booked our hostels in Ireland. It looks like we will arrive in Dublin and stay over night, then head to Cork, then to Galway, then to some island near Galway, and then back to Dublin for a few days. I'm really excited! Afterwards, Becca, Heather & I headed over to a bar to watch the Superbowl. It was crowded with a bunch ...
Sevilla, Spain mingozingo... definitely be back. After lunch I met Rena, Heather & Becca to do some more shopping and see a movie. We headed over to the neighborhood Nervion where there was a 4 story shopping complex with a huge ice rink in the middle of it. On the very top level is a huge movie theater and we saw Bobby. It was all in Spanish and I didn't understand all of it but it was really sad ...
Sevilla, Spain mingozingo... hires but are taught for Americans in Spanish. I am taking European Art of the 20th century, Flamenco: Cultural and Anthropological Expression of Andalusia, and Introduction to the modern history of Spain. I am also taking one CIEE course at the center called Spanish 4001: Academic Writing and Critical thinking. It should be a hard course load but some of them I'm pretty excited about. Miss you all!
