Mallorca was the first place we&#8217;ve been where it hasn&#8217;t rained while we&#8217;ve been touring although, we only missed the storm by a couple of hours &#8211; by nine o&#8217;clock it was wild and the sea was quite rough although in a ship this size, it doesn&#8217;t move around that much. <br><br>Pictures will have to follow after I unload the camera<br><br>More when we hit Tunis on Suzanne&#8217;s birthday.

Palma is a beautiful city and has a nice attitude about it. We arrived in Cala de Calobra around 5:30. We anchored in the small bay and took a tender to shore. The little village has a small pier along one side of a steep hill and the village is crowded on the hillside raising between two much larger and steeper hills. The whole thing looks like some Hollywood set because of its idyllic setting on the small bay. There are several bars and restaurants where we got drinks and ate an early dinner.

The owners are from Argentina so I discuss my trip to South America with them. <br><br>We head out to the main bar/club street. My back is killing me. ... a hotel reservation service at the airport/railway which offers unused rooms at a big discount. No such service in Mallorca. The tourist info desk says they got rid of that service and that they were unable to help. They do, however give me some literature which has a hostel listed in it. Hmmmm. How nice is it to wake up just to know that you don't really need to get up yet. Turn around and then open the blinds and see that it's beautiful outside. Have some sun shine in your face, great coffee, breakfast and the knowledge that you are still on vacation. You get ready, leave the house and suddenly the sky is turning on you, it gets all dark and gray and gloomy. ... and lay low with friends of hers still her new cards came in. After taking an overnight ferry we now find ourselves in their great apartment hanging out with her friend Carrie and her boyfriend Patrick who is pretty home bound recovering from knee surgery. Life is beautiful and continues on. we still plan to rent a van when we go back to the mainland and the we hope to travel north following the coast untill we come across our next adventure.

i visit spain so often but I had my first trip there at the tender age of about 8 months! haha! <br><br>needless to say I can't remember that particular trip but the subsequent ones really hit the spot with me! <br><br>I love Majorca because it has something for everybody. Mad nightlife, beautiful beaches and scenery, lovely people and not as "high rise" as main land Spain.<br><br>
