Lady that manages theatre the other night had spice! I like her. And it was another moment woman to woman moment in the biz - we just got each other and there was immediate respect and willingness to work with me. I've gotten that vibe very strongly from another female on the tour and it's good to know that it's present. Cute story today. I was …

Our direct United Airline flight from Saskatoon with a short stopover in Regina, arrived about 20 minutes early at O'Hare! As we didn't connect directly to a gate, we had to walk a short distance to the airport. The heat and humidity immediately grabbed my attention! We were one of the last people in line to go through customs as we had let a …

So, today, after a good nights sleep and hotel breakast, we took to the heat and humidity of the streets of Chicago! We started our journey by walking down Ohio St to Michigan Ave and then to the beginning ot the Magnificent Mile where we purchased our passes for the Double Decker & Trolley Tour. Although the passes were $35/pp, they were …

If it's Sunday, it must be church time! Occasionally, when we're traveling, it's not always possible. However, on this trip, we learned about St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, located in the city's Ukrainian Village! From the Cathedral's Sunday mass (called liturgies in Ukrainian) schedule we opted for attending the 8:30am liturgy/mass. …

Great room, great location, great price

    from anonymous

I have stayed at many, many hotels in downtown Chicago at different price levels and this is a gem! The location could not be better (Weber Grill is a must every time I visit Chicago), and we paid only $135 on a weekend where the closest price to this was at a hotel described on this site as a dump.

The hotel was renovated in the last couple of years and you can tell. Our room was a King Room & had a microwave, fridge and wet bar which were nice amenities. The front desk staff was very accommodating. When our room smelled like smoke, they came up immediately & performed an ozone treatment to the room that removed all the smoke (and I'm picky about this!).

All in all - I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Chicago at a nice hotel without paying exorbitant prices.

    Absolutely fabulous!

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel from the 21-23 Aug. It's location is great, just a block away from the CTA train, so travelling was very convenient. Also, the Magnificent Mile and many of the city's attractions were just a stone's throw away.

There were also many good restaurants in the vicinity. The only pity was that we didn't get to try them all. But if you are staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites, do visit Weber's Grill. The food and service is great!

The hotel also provides a hearty breakfast. The only complain I would have is that the breakfast area is a tad small, but the establishment allows guests to bring breakfast up to their rooms.

Even though the rooms are a little small, it is nice, clean and comfortable.

So, all in all, I would definitely recommend this quaint hotel to all!

    Yes, stay here!

    from Cherlinka

My family came to Chicago from Oklahoma to see the Cubs play, sightsee and to shop! The Comfort Inn and Suites Downtown is a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the many questions that we had and gave great directions. The suite that we stayed in was very clean and large enough for our family to move around. We got a suite so our two teens wouldn't have to sleep together. The sofa sleeper was rather lumpy so they ended up sleeping together anyway! The breakfast was good and always well stocked. The location of the hotel is the best! Two blocks from the busy Michigan Avenue and very close to many restaurants. We felt safe here and would stay here again.

    Loved this place - July 9 &10

This hotel is all about location. Very close to MI avenue and good restaraunts. Also, the rooms are not giant but easily big eneough for a couple. They were very tastfully decorated and looked new to me. I would definitely stay there again.

    A couple of tips:

    * Paid $102/night on Orbitz for a Fri & Sat night stay.

    * There is a liquor store right next door.

    * There's a Starbucks caddy corner to the hotel.

    * The Bloomingdales Home store is across the street.

    * The hotel serves a cont'l bfast but the Weber grill restaraunt just around the corner has a great full b'fast buffet for $11.

    * If you don't plan on driving once you put your car in for the evening choose the lot just up the block and to the East of the hotel. They were $16 for overnight parking vs. $21 for the hotel.

    * If you are a runner the Lake Michigan jogging trail is just 3/4 of a mile to the east of the hotel.

    Enjoyed the Comfort Inn

    from anonymous

I enjoyed my stay at the Comfort Inn. The rooms were decorated nicely and were a good size. The location was great. The best thing was the staff. They were great (and patient) with directions. I would definetely return!

I thought the price was great - although there is no view if that is important to you. The room had 2 windows with views of a parking garage and a brick wall.

Very nice stay. We will be back.

Our company had a gathering for five days and all of us stayed at this hotel. It has recently been totally remodeled. Very neat and clean, quiet and very close to everything. My husband and I had a king room which included a microwave and refrigerator. The beds are wonderful, using real linens and five pillows. They even use big, thick towels. This reminds me of the boutique hotels in New York, rather than a Comfort Inn. The staff is excellant, very helpful and quick to respond to any of your needs. Self parking is right down from the hotel, but you will pay $21 a day. Very nice package liquor store right next door and a great grocery store right on the corner. There are tons of very good restaurants all around and two blocks off the Mag Mile. Really, you couldn't ask for anything better than this for the price.

Nice Rooms, Great Price, Best Location!

    from anonymous

The Comfort Inn was a great find. I found the great rate of $80.95/night on a discount hotel site. (It's easy to spend $200/night on a room in downtown Chicago, so this was a great deal) The rooms were small, but perfect for a couple. They were very well decorated and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, the hallways were quiet and the continental breakfast was actually quite tastey. Also, Comfort Inn is just off the Magnificent Mile, so there are endless shops and restaurants in walking distance. For $80.95, you can't beat this hotel; I would definitely stay there again.

    Best Deal in Chicago

    from Taffy88

On the strength of the reviews on this page, I booked a room at the Comfort Inn & Suites. This is one of the best hotel deals I can remember getting in a long time. The service was terrifice, the place is convenient to everywhere and clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are big enough to turn around in and the shower is good. Their continental breakfast is very good...more European than American. :-) I can't stress enough how friendly and helpful their employees are. This is an oasis in a jungle of over-priced, over-rated hotels. It was almost as good as coming home every night. I can't recommend it highly enough. I stayed there in April-May 2004.

    Great locale

    from anonymous

After a minor snafu with the check in, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the hotel and it's great location to the mag mile. The room, although small was very comftorable, quiet, and the bed had FIVE pillows. Another nice feature was that local phone calls were free. I have only two issues. The hot water wasn't hot enough and the doorman got irritated that I used the baggage cart on my own. Not fancy but a pretty good deal all in all.

    We'll return

    from anonymous

We certainly enjoyed our stay at The Comfort Inn The staff is very accomadating. A beautiful continental breakfast is served on the mezzanine . The Hotel is small but furnished very well and located just off Michigan Ave. well within reach of many activities. We will certainly return
