... next winery was very different. Owned and run by an Italian family since its inception, they welcomed people to picnic in the grouns, whether they were customers or not. It being Memorial Day, everyone was there, sprawled out on the grass, with their picnics. The cellars here were huge, with the massive barrels on each side and lit by some wonderful chandeliers. It was a hive of activity this morning in the lobby....bags being weighed and adjusted to make just a little more room for our final purchases from our last patchwork shopping expedition.
