Overall, my first days in Nancy, France have been wonderful. It's so interesting to go from being a tourist to being a local. Hopefully I'll be able to share that feeling to you through my blogs and pictures. For the next few days, I need to rest a bit since I am sick and adjusting to many changes, but I will be exploring more of the city! Classes start on the 13th and our schedules are set to change every week. (Stay tuned for another blog about ...

I want the snow back

A travel blog entry by sanger.kayl on Nov 22, 2013

It doesn't even look like it snowed yesterday. It's upsetting. It's just going to rain today and that's it. It's not even like a legit rain, it's that misty stuff. This weather is making me upset. I just either want snow that stays or for it not to rain. Is that too much to ask? I really don't think so. When it's gloomy, I have no desire to get out of bed. I'm debating if I want to go or if I will just be disappointed by their efforts. ...

... wrote the lyrics. It's good practice to learn more French and be able to understand when people are talking, but it was like two hours long! We also got part of our test back. It was the section on the mythology. I got two right out of ten, and they were the really obvious ones. I'm really proud of myself for knowing two of them at least.

After class, Bobbie and I went to see Ruby and see that her water problem was fixed and it was. A lot of people have ...

Dawn, Hattie and Jamie do a lock by themselves!

We stopped to have a picnic lunch just after a lock as there had been quite a lot of weed and the engine was running a little high, so we decided to let it cool down a bit whilst we ate. Dawn, Hattie and Jamie did a lock all by themselves today, so we are very proud of them.

We were making our way to a Richardmenil where we would pick up the second family, (Isi's son Steve, wife Nanka, Sasha 4 and Ella 1. They were catching the ...
