Just a few metres from the main station. Modern hotel with spacious rooms. Although it is the centre of town we found it very quiet.

Arriving at Zurich Airport after a 2 hour flight, and bearing hand luggage only, we made swiftly for the station which is right below the airport. We already had tickets in our hand courtesy of STC and we hopped onto a train for Zurich Hauptbahnof straight away. The airport is fairly close to town so less than 20 minutes later we were off the train …
... had to change trains it was snowing really hard but our train to Chur (my favourite station name so far) was early so we only had to wait for a few minutes. When we got to Chur for lunch to meet with Michela, Gianluca and baby Rosa. I realised that as this part of Switzerland is German speaking, so we had to change back to speaking German which is weird as this was the first language of our trip. Drove into Ulm, a lovely "small" city. Walked around the Ulm Munster - amazing Gothic cathedral with the tallest spire in the world (161 metres) and then had a look inside. Plain and poorly lit but still impressive, with lots of "crests" on the walls. Sat in the square after admiring the beautifully decorated Rathaus, built 1377-1877. This was also the birthplace of Albert Einstein, although he left as an infant. Missed seeing "his" fountain. Drove to Friedrichshaven, ...
... about it. We have to seek accommodation a little further out and end up sharing an interconnecting room with four single beds for the very reasonable (not) price of 375 Swiss francs. We have also booked our train route for tomorrow so go online to book accommodation. We are beat as been on the road for a long time today all with so much to take in, my tiny little mind and it's filing cabinet can only take so much wow in one day. The wows are ...
