    ... had a lovely meal of tomato and scrambled egg; leafy greens; and rice with cooked dried bacon and spring onion. The lady picked fresh star fruit off the tree for us and showed us the "black' chickens (actually chickens with white feathers, but with black skin and flesh).

    ... with a little park by the river. We had lunch in a the delightful "Orient Express" French Restaurant where the staff were lovely and helpful. Two old carriages have been made into dining cars. Weather permitting we plan to return for an evening meal during our stay.

    ... to Chinese New Year, the entire school gets the month of February off. Zac and I have thus decided to take leave this month and explore South East Asia. I will be, for the first time, literally off the grid for a whole four weeks. I’ve yet to make a trip like this and I’ve done my best to ready myself. That includes: making a "tentative" month itinerary, print out all the flight information, book all the hostels, and budget my time abroad.
