      ... upside down wins!

We'd met some cool kiwi chicks he day before who had a been living on the island for a month, staying with a Greek family in the village. They had invited a couple of us to come up and hang out for a while before hitting the clubs but when I sent Nadine a message letting her know that there were now ten of us, she said it would be better to hang out in the square instead - understandably! The group rallied in time to catch a bus in to ...

... plane. Very small plane seating was 2/2. With propellers. The flight was only 35-40 minutes. We even got a drink orange/water/coke and some peanuts. It was so nice flying over the Mediterranean, we could clearly see all the other islands but couldn't figure out which were which. We arrived into JTR airport ( very little and cute) Bags came out straight away and we had the Vedema staff waiting to pick us up with my last last name on a sun board. He guided us to ...

The ferry from Santorini to Ios went really quickly and this time I was staying at the Busabout hostel so I caught the free transfer with the rest of the group. We were all staying at Far Out Beach Club which was on the opposite side of the island from the port and about 10 minutes from the town centre. I had booked a "bed tent" for my 4 nights on the island which was the cheapest option and definately looked it! It was basically an A frame dog house under a tarp cover which ...
