Today, Friday, we had another great drive. We left Austin, Nevada by nine AM and had only about a hundred and fifty miles to travel. We moved lower and lower until now we're at about 4,400 above sea level. It's about seventy degrees here and feels great. Enroute we stopped at Petroglyph Site which was started by the Cattail People. The oldest petroglyph is about 8,000 years on up to 500 years ago. But, who's ...

Heading back to our room we were walking through the casino on the way to our rooms and found Dave getting more money out of an ATM machine. We went to see a movie ('Prisoners' with Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhall - 3/5)' crashed out, then had an enormous steak, washed down with a Francis Ford Coppola Pinot ...
... that about 10 miles of the trail was dry and this greatly slowed us down.
We talked a lot about life, friends, and economics before coming up upon 3 day hikers who missed there turn and were 3 miles off course with empty water bottles. It made me feel less stupid for all the things we forgot haha.
We walked to a water source with them and purified some water and then they looked reinvigorated.
Our clock was ticking though with no headlamps, we had 4 hours left to summit ...
