It is at altitude so when we went for a walk Sunday morning you lost your breath very easily.

We walked along the beach front and in the pines, then travelled by car to Emerald Bay for spectacular views.

California is one place that I want to explore in fine detail. It is so different from the rest of the US, and I really, truly love it here.

It is quite spectacular as nearly every pass has at least one alpine lake near its summit. These lakes dump out into the next valley in a torrent of beautiful water falls and gushing rivers feeding more lakes. This is a water wonderland. Alas the mosquitoes are thick and any amount of time lingering is paid in blood.

Travelled to Tahoe Valley Campground, a very large RV park at South Lake Tahoe and arrived around lunch time. We took a drive up the western side of Lake Tahoe to Cave Rock and back to RV's. We tried to go the beaches but there is fee to enter or park the car as they are either in one National forest park or another or they are privately owned. Very touristy area around here and houses built where ever they ...
