And so after a long flight - 12+ hours - we arrived in Paris, grabbed a quick drink and then on to Birmingham. Unfortunately, Pat's suitcase decided to stop off in Paris but will hopefully be delivered tomorrow! Back to a sunny UK, with a temperature not much cooler than Hanoi yesterday, where the blossom is in full swing. Lots of memories of a lovely holiday. ...

Unfortunately, as we left the M6 there was a huge tail back where we needed to go, presumably due to an accident.. We sat in it for a while, moving 100yds in 10 mins. ... canal.

Meetiung up with the others back at the Angel, its a quick change of shirt and the Queenslanders are joined by Bob and Lorraine for a walk down to the Jugs & Jester where I have a good old English staple - fish & chips. Oh, and did I mention another pint. An early night beckons as we now have three games in a row before we move base to Staffordshire......and we are down to 13 players in the squad.

... The team song is sung with gusto back in the change rooms - we are getting better and better with each rendition and this one was a beauty. We are then reminded that it is Bob Phillip's birthday, so we all sing Happy Birthday to him. When he tells us he is now 64, we all break out into a great version of the Beatles classic "When I'm 64" - as only a bunch of old ***** could do. Its a very happy dressing room today!

      We have a quick ...
