    ... and learned about the Coast Guard festival coming up in a few weekends (just missed it!). It was wonderful to spend time catching up with Heather, while the waves crashed along the shore. The tall grasses and sand dunes are just like Cape Cod - it's easy to understand what drew them to this small Victorian town.

    After much deliberation, we settled on the Blue Pig Tavern at Congress Hall for a delicious dinner in a cozy setting (see picture below).

    ... next morning we tried breakfast at Littleneck; a great little seafood place we love. Their seafood is good; their eggs not so much… Next we had a look at the work of some artists at Gowanus Open Studios. I decided not to participate this year and it was interesting to be able to see what people were doing rather than being stuck in one place all weekend.

    My work permit expires in November so I had to apply for a renewal. The first time was an absolute disaster on ...

    ... trip, Rutford, Vermont, where there was a nice Best Western with our name on it. We got going a little late (nothing new for us) and around 9:30am or so we were paying for our coffee and breakfast sandwiches at a Wawa along our route. I'm pretty sure it wasn't long after that we stopped for coffee again at a Dunkin' Donuts.
    The drive was actually quite nice at the start of 206, getting a little shady around Trenton and then getting nice ...

    ... Taj Mahal next door, the glittery lights, the people? He was like the kid in the candy store. Wtf. Proceeded to share all the adventures we could/ or would enjoy the next few days. They do have a heated indoor pool so that will be a saving grace for Cooper. We had late dinner in the hotel as it was unforgiving weather outside. Simple diner food followed by the most enormous ice sundae for us all to share. Got to watch the new season opener of GAME OF THRONES. It was ...
