We started our day shopping and bought lots of olive oil soap and a notebook from the post office. Tina wanted to get more notebooks but they only had one or were unwilling to get more from the back. The postal workers were either eating snacks or on their cell phones. We ate pork souvlaki and liver wrapped with broiled intestines for lunch. Loukoumade (honey balls) was our dessert. This decadent snack was too much for us, so we decided to feed the rest to a ...

... it. When our meal was done we made our way back to the boat, to spend our final night in the Aegean Sea. Julie wasn't joking about her meal. She had a chicken dish and it was the biggest chicken leg either of I us had ever seen. I had braised veal in a dark sauce that included cinnamon a very popular spice in Greece. On board we sat on the upper deck with other passengers watching the boat pull out of Hydra. As the last of the lights disappeared we realised we had left our last ...

... the island's infrastructure from his own pocket. So the road that goes around the island, he financed it and also the first (and only) cinema. Oh, another interesting thing about the island that the whole water supply is delivered by ships. So our Greek friend told us that probably we should not drink from the tap, but I did anyway. This water had no swimming pool taste at least :)

    Thursday:
Leaving Spetses and going to Kalabaka, but that's in the next blog entry.
