One thing that surprised us in Cadiz was the number of German tourists we ran into while we walked around the city. Maybe they were all off of the cruise ship we saw in the port. They were nice, we were just surprised by the numbers.

Jerez, the sherry capital of Andalucia and probably all of Spain, is a cute but dirty seaside town about an hour from the ferry across the straight to Africa.
