Carretera de Villaluenga La Manga, Murcia, Spain and Canary Islands
... note, there is no possible way to travel and be on a diet at the same time! We caught our train that afternoon and I spent those three hours discussing some of the many complexitites of life with Reid haha.
All in all, I'd have to say that the pace of Cadiz was much slower than the pace of Cordoba, So things are the same in Spain - things just slow down at the beach. It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend - my first traveling venture! Plenty more to come....
... and Cameron Diaz in it. I hope they get a part! Lunch was interesting and kind of like eating in a Chinese restaurant as the plates just kept coming! After lunch we said goodbye to the sons and continued walking and finally ended up back at the ship but not before taking a rest in the Plaza DE Espana across from the ship. When we were there the park cat ladies came by and fed the wild cats who were pretty friendly. Great ending to a very nice day!
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathers... of the sweetest sherry called "Nectar" for 8 Euro. I really didn’t like their regular sherry though. They were pretty cool though. When celebrities or royalty come visit, they have them sign a barrel of Tio Pepe instead of signing a guestbook! And they have a family of mice that are sherry connoisseurs. One of the distillery ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands big_red_truckWe got up really early (for us vacationers). It was about 8:15am. We decided we would drive 2 hours to a city called Jerez de la Frontera to see the famous dancing horses of Jerez. The tour guide said it was worth the drive... We arrived to another city. Not as big as Seville, but a city nonetheless. Shae was super excited to see the dancing horses. The show started at noon and lasted 1.5 hours. Shae lasted about 20 minutes - which was pretty good for her ...
Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain stacicheck... the left and right side of the castle walls were big round gun turrets from WWII.
I wanted to stop up the coastal road at Cape Trafalgar, site of Lord Nelson’s famous 1805 naval battle that sent him home in a spirits barrel – preserved. I read a pocketbook about the battle about a year ago. Nelson’s ships-of-the-line aggressively attacked the superior French fleet after ...
... streets at night. There might have been several million of the carnaval people in Cadiz that night, I think.
By the way, the most original and interesting costumes were of Lego; there were also a few people dressed up as Mario, the pope or Heineken bottles, but my personal best was a guy dressed up as Facebook. He was unbeatable.
Our train was scheduled for the evening, when it was already dark, and when the festival was actually about to begin. I ...
Cádiz, Spain verow... s attic in Barca. One day he said to himself, 'Well we might as well get these out of the way and make a museum or something.' So, he donated them to the city and they built the museum, which is now one of the most popular attractions in all of Barcelona. It was such a nonchalant gesture on his part, the paintings were just things he did-he didn't see them as particularly good or bad or masterpieces...it's astounding what an amazing talent he was. After taking a fair amount of ...
Cadiz, Spain jsiker... get a Kleenex out of my bag without allowing snot to drip onto anything which was very difficult and disgusting. I finally learned to just keep Kleenex in my hand all the time. AND I WASN'T EVEN IN CADIZ YET! Finally, we arrived to Cadiz and all three buses were there, thankfully. We got off the bus in the rain and strong wind. Luckily, I had my umbrella!!! Not. After half an hour, it had gone inside-out so many times that all of the spokes had bent/broken and the ...
