... quite proud of his family business. He described the process of fermenting and aging wine which is similar to wine made from grapes. The wine is aged in clay jars however which made for some interesting photographs. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures in the fermenting room where the rice is mixed with yeast in huge plastic vats and hand stirred to accelerate the fermentation.

Barely took any photos in Hangzhou as it ****** it down most of the time we were there but here are a few. Hangzhou isn't much of a wintery place really as most of the activities are based around the lake. We attempted to walk around it on my birthday but got soaked through so went to a silk museum instead. I told you it was three wet and wild girls let loose in China...We made up for the ****** weather by going for some real nice food at a restaurant called Grean Tea restaurant though. ...

... felt the urge to join them, pop a few pipas, drink the world’s finest green tea and play some Mahjong. But today wasn’t that day. We swiftly moved on to the first floor where the food was already waiting for us on the turntables.
