This short, long weekend escape (pardon the oxymoron) had been planned during our Rocky Mountains trip mid September, and Jill and I had been looking forward to it for weeks. We'd both negotiated being able to leave school a little earlier that day so we could catch our international flights. It takes a bit of getting used to, to realize that I'm …
We had a somewhat frantic but then kinda laid back day today. Breakfast first and I wasn’t prepared to take a chance this morning. I wanted to know where my coffee was coming from so we head to a different branch of the Intelligentsia chain that we tried the first morning we were here. I realised that I’d been saying it incorrectly all …
Note to self: Enough with the 7am starts for God’s sake! Yep, up at 7 after oo oo oo a big 5 hours sleep last night but I refused to move. My body and mind were having an argument and I was the innocent by-stander. I tossed and turned in bed until Chris smacked me in the head moving himself about. I think part …
For the first time in ages we were called to board our flight on time, and for the first time ever, Chris was ready to bolt straight to the gate. What the? It was a great place to stay, so central to all the downtown sites, right next to the river, bus tour, theatre district, shopping on Magnificent Mile, and the beautiful parks that edge Lake Michigan. The staff were friendly and helpful. A substantial choice of foods is provided as part of your stay for breakfast. We were able to store our luggage downstairs all day on the day we checked out. Would stay again, especially in the suite that has its own kitchenette. Great views from 23rd floor!
