    ... A lovely surprise was when Hannah arrived, it was good to see her. Janie and Mark put on a fantastic feast for all of us. Hannah had to leave and Janie had to head out to a meeting.     ... please don't let this happen America! Anyway, that rant aside, we grabbed a cab from the airport to the hotel, and were shocked at what we saw as we drove. Memphis looked inscribed small, and very run down...like the city hadn't changed much since the 60s.
