Where do I begin with the Smoky Mountains? I was looking forward to quietness and to escape the cities on the east coast but I didn't expect it to be so beautiful. After travelling for about four hours on the highway we went up a scenic route in the mountains (blue ridge parkway) which probably didn't help with the time keeping but the views were incredible.
