    ... great!

After about an hour and a half or snorkeling they took us to the island and we walked about a mile in and had lunch at a restaurant.

Post lunch, we continued walking to the other side of the island where there was another beautiful beach. We didn't get in this time, just snapped some good photos and laid out and enjoyed the weather. It was nice and cool with a good breeze and looked like a storm was going to blow in any minute..... and ...

There were markets on the island so you could purchase things while here for lunch. Mark and Paul had a drink at the bar with a Bob Marley look-a-like. This is such a pretty island, so peaceful and relaxing with beautiful people. The waters are crystal clear and so green, it is a colour that just blow you away.

... to him for at least 15 minutes and we hadn't even set foot on the beach yet! The beach was lovely and the water a beautiful temperature. The beach is lined with food stalls and bars which service banana lounges and umbrellas. We still didn't have any of the local currency so couldn't even get a banana lounge! We went for a short walk onto the street and gave the kids their first real taste of Thailand which I think freaked out Ti more than Jack. Jack just wanted to ...

... and it was very pleasant to be there. It was great just to wander through all the streets and alleyways of the old town and soak it in. We found a cafe called Kopitiam (which is the term used for traditional coffee shops in Malaysia) and just kept going back. It was cheap and delicious. Over a few days we worked our way through most of their home made soda menu...lime and pickled apricot being my favourite. We were lucky enough to be in town for the weekly 'Indy Market' which ...
