We were only here for one night but had a very enjoyable stay. We were in a room in the red wing on the 5th floor. Our room was a good size, with comfortable bed and quiet so we had a good sleep. There is also a good size desk area and cupboard space. The toilet is separate to the shower which had great water pressure and, while I appreciate the water conservation efforts, I found the handheld shower a little frustrating. The free wi fi was very good. The decor, as throughout the rest of the hotel, is fresh, unique and interesting.
Staff were friendly and helpful and great at suggesting places to eat at and visit. They were also very accommodating and found a room for us so we could check in early.
We had a drink in the bar which was comfortable and offered a good selection. Dinner in the restaurant was also very nice. It was a warm evening and we had a table outside. The service and the meal were both very good.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Early start this morning for our 9am flight to Frankfurt. After a quick brekkie it’s only a few minutes walk to the train station where we get the Flytoget train to the airport. The Flytoget is a brilliant system, it’s a dedicated fast train leaving every 10 minutes directly to the airport. The whole trip only takes 20 minutes and …

... which may sound fun and exciting, but since neither Wade nor I had ridden one in years, it was more like hair-raising and scary. We did an "alternative" walking tour of Frankfurt which imparted in addition to the typical historical and architectural trivia, a look into the social and economic problems of the city. We toured the red light district and learned that Frankfurt has decriminalized drug use. There are "day drug use" facilities in ...

... cool forest that Simon's parents showed me with plenty of hills. I ran about 10 kilometers in what seemed like paradise. It felt so great to run again, something I used to do 2-3 times a week while in Spain, and I know it will often be too cold to do while in New York.
My final dinner in Germany was a Turkish kebab. Originally I thought kebab's were meat on a stick, but this kebab was served similar to a gyro. It had juicy lamb and a super sweet yogurt sauce to go along with ...
