Drove up to Aspen to see Richard Ford my grandson. Had dinner and walked around Aspen went to bed and drove back to Centenial to stay with her until Tuesday Morning.

Richard showed us around the town. Richard knows at least a dozen beautiful girls who we met around Aspen.

... Salt Lake and skiing, wow was I mistaken. We went through red rock mountains worthy of Sedona. Vista upon vista of beautiful views. Again I know our pictures, all taken by Mary from the car, won't do them justice.

Then we entered Colorado, which looked like Utah until we entered the ski resort areas. Now I know this is beautiful country in the winter but oh my, how gorgeous it also is in the summer.

That brings us back to Beaver Creek ...

We woke up and had reservations for a 2 hour horseback riding trail ride on old Snowmass mountain and Hells Roaring. The entire family went and had a unique experience. Although Jordan and Pepijn weren't so fond of the idea of horseback riding - they had a good, even though somewhat uncomfortable experience. ... village area where there was a huge concert going on....all of our kind of music: music from the 80's, including reggae. Lots of flower-power people dancing up a storm. Was fun to be a part of that. Tons of little shops, outdoor market type tents set up to sell lots of things like crystals, flower-power clothes, jewelry, etc. Was a fun time had by all. Came home and crashed - completely exhausted.

... of Aspen was about five times bigger than our previous visit. Traffic congestion started at Buttermilk as one lane was reserved for buses and the other lanes had to merge. I remember the nice bus system where you could ski one resort in the morning and hop on the bus and quickly get to another in the afternoon. That must still work well. We stopped at the chamber ...
