... extends right across the road and below the huge statue of the Saint which sits supreme on a rocky hill overlooking the harbour.

There is a fine cathedral in this part of town and the river that runs from the mountains to the sea cuts through it.

A wedding party was assembling at the church in glorious sunshine.

... colder Garrone which flows through Bordeaux. The result is dense fog in the mornings which produces a fungus on the grapes which in turn results in a unique taste. This is quite specific to this area and can't be found the same anywhere else in the world.
