Bustling Bordeaux

... decided on a stop at Bordeaux because it has a large airport. We plan to fly to England tomorrow for our great aunt Vi's funeral. We are so sad we didn't get to see her again and hope to have a toast with the family to remember her beautiful nature. In 2011 she welcomed us with loving arms into her and Les's home. It felt like being in our own mum and dad's place and we will never forget ...

WOW! Cannot believe 2014 has come to an end! Many great things happened last year. My best friend got married, friends got engaged, announced pregnancies, I travelled to Rarotonga and Singapore... and then made the big move to France! ... over to the euerkerk (old church) which was quite nice. We found some red-eyed pigeons which was a bit disconcerting. Then we were off to catch the ferry to De Pannenkoechenboot (pancake boat). Yes we ate dutch pancakes on a boat and it was awesome. There was even a ball playpen for the kids which was pretty cool. Wonderful experience, definitely recommend. We considered the price a bit high but it covered two meals and a small tour of that part of ...

... into quieter surrounds she will drive more on the open road and then Stephen can be the navigator and we will see how we all get on.

The van is working out so well that we have to make sure we do not jinx it!! We purchased the van with 46,300 km on the clock and driving into Bordeaux we passed the 50,000km mark! After a shaky start in the dealers yard we have had very few issues and those we have had Stephen has been able to fix. The first thing ...
