A travel blog entry by lcmckay on Oct 21, 2014

We got up early so we could make the 9am train to Arcachon, we still almost missed it though. Arcachon is a cute little beach town, it must be the place to be in the summer I am glad we went while it was quiet so it wasn't crowded but I would have liked to see it in peak season. We walked along the beach and had a look through some shops before jumping on the bus to Dune du ...

The original property was in the hands of the French Resistance then sold to the mayor of Bordeaux who demolished it. The current house dates back to 1794 and over time didn't totally fall to ruin but was close ...

... getting LPG in the morning we set off for Seurre and an Aire beside the canal. After a quick walk around we carried on to Dole where there was a service point outside an Aquapark. We stayed for a couple of hours while it poured and after all having showers we filled up and went on to the parking Aire on an island in the river. It was a big space. Spoke to a lady from the UK before setting off for a walk. Barry found the best ever Mille Feuilles at a Geant supermarket. ...
