    ... again at Doolittle, (jcn T) I followed some very well preserved sections of Old 66, it does detour a little (due to the I 44) and for some it Runs next to Interstate 44. Yet when 66 pulls away you find a calm and enjoyable ride. The stretch before Devils Elbow is dual, divided cariageway, and in good condition. The single lane turn off to Devils Elbow is easy to miss, ...

    ... by now that I like to name things. The town is really a living museum with people still living there and a group of volunteers which run the museum and do tours. There is a playhouse here which is quiet famous with actors from New York and other places coming here each season. There is a bank now the museum, a courthouse and a negro museum. The gutters made of stones by the negro slaves still remain – challenging for our motorhome.

    Arrived in this historic home built in 1904 on June 19th. It is an amazing home. They have tried to keep it true to the era in which it was built.
