But for all the obviously limited resources, this museum is really worth a visit: It's holdings include many large paintings (many, very realistic, despite a certain romanticism), posters and photos of the RRs here and in the west, more generally, that would be worthy exhibits in any museum. ...

Kansas gets a bum rap!
Today was a driving day, but it doesn't hurt when some of the interstate is also marked "scenic" on the maps. I have to say that the rolling hills of Missouri and eastern Kansas - especially the Flint Hills area just west of Topeka - are beautiful! We loved it! Not Quite Kansas City
... Jeep, the trunk is HUGE, and we managed to fit everything in it, with just enough room to sit four people. It also gets significantly better gas mileage. Abbie hates the color - she says the tan reminds her of old people - but it's definitely better than driving on a spare. I don't have a picture of it just yet, but I'll get one up before I finish the last entry.
