This is a nice property that is located in the heart of things, but the quieter end of the heart's beat.

          Shopping ... unsuccessfully

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 08, 2015

Our only activity today was an attempt to get the suitcases fuller before we head home in three weeks. We went to many stores over 6 hours and didn't get much at all, despite trying on lots of clothes. The day was pretty warm but it got overcast so the day was comfortable despite being in the late 80s. For lunch we had Taco Bell and for dinner we had ...

          Underground caves and snake farm

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 07, 2015

... In the first caves there were no formations on the ceiling because the bats had left oils and dirt. The caves were awesome. Highlight of the second caves was when they turned out the lights for one minute and we were in total darkness. It was really cool being so dark that you couldn't see even your hand in front of your face. The 'fried egg' formations were cool and there was a lost bat in the first ...

          Drive to Schertz...San Antonio

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 06, 2015

The day consisted of another drive, this time a short 3 1/2 hour drive to Schertz, which is 20 minutes outside San Antonio. We stopped here because the caves we want to visit are here. The drive took us pretty close to Houston central again but before the traffic got too crazy we were heading away from Houston and the road went town to just a couple of lanes for a while. The scenery is becoming more like the ...

          San Antonio, TX: Day 1

A travel blog entry by bronny23 on Feb 22, 2015

... accommodation through the one site, and it didn't cost us anything (usually it would cost the fee of one nights accommodation!). By this stage I was completely and utterly exhausted, and it was near 4:30 pm. Rather than going out straight away we had a rest, then went to the River Walk in central downtown for dinner later. The temperature had absolutely dropped by this stage - sooo freezing cold! Going from hot to cold really messed with us (mum, dad and I anyway). We caught ...

Today we went to the town of Fredericksburg, Texas. It is a great German town northwest of San Antonio. The shops along the main street are really interesting and they have a lot of different things to choose from. You can carry your beer around town with you, which the boys liked. It was a fun day and the kids were really good.
