    Today was a day of driving we drove 294 miles however we did drive through Kansas City and made a stop at a rather unique toy store. Moon Marble is a Kansas treasure. It is this cute and quirky store that specializes in marbles but there is also a glass artist that does demos there and creates really beautiful and unique pieces!     ... rained like Noah needed to float his ark. Streets were flooding and I was 1/2 mile from the van without a paddle. Luckily there was a campus hangout and sports bar to wait out the rain and I tried to feel like I was 20 again.

    ... plugged in, only the 50 amp breaker was turned off, so he turned them all off and then turned on only the 50 amp breaker and it worked. Also there is a sign underneath the plugs telling the max amps and the 50 amp actually states not more than 40 amps. But at least we have electricity, so we finished setting up "home".     10:15 AM - Colby, Kansas pit stop & gas ($2.55/gal).

    NOON - just past Hays, KS and the temperature is 90 degrees! Glad I didn't plan any outdoor hikes today. There are windmills all over, on both sides of road, as far as the eye can see!

    1-ish - quick lunch stop at a rest area. It is hot.
