... gasping and surprisingly tasty plane food - I eventually landed in Lima. My bags took forever to arrive. I had begun planning how long I could get away with wearing the same clothes when I sighted the most wonderful sight. My bags limped out from behind the flappy grey shutters and rolled toward me. Whispering promises that i would never leave them again, I heaved the bags onto my back and under my arm and made for the exit. The port is the new ...

Our morning started at around 7:00, when we boarded the speedboat for Rinca, an island in Komodo National Park. Here, there be dragons. I have to admit, it was a little anti-climactic. I dot know what I was expecting - we saw several dragons, which is what we were there to do. Bu most of them were just hanging out at the ranger station waiting for scraps. Wilderness survival at its best, right?!?!?! We did a hike, which lasted for about an ...

... wandered round the town looking at the architecture which is quite impressive and the city has a really nice chilled vibe and amazing weather. We met Tricia back at the office and headed home via the supermarket to collect a few bits for our last dinner together.

We have had a really lovely and relaxing time with Tricia and Ed and loved their dogs, 2 beautiful boxers, Wolfy and Betty, who we will miss very much but it is time to be moving north to the Big Apple.
