    ... of seeing mountain lions and a million stars will definitely take us back there. We stayed in beautiful Julian, an old gold rush town, known for its apples and mostly its Apple Pie, which was pretty darn good.

    So after 4 weeks in this town, we are settling and feeling pretty excited about the next 3 years. We have a list of holiday destinations way to long to fit into the time we have, but we will attempt it anyways!!!

    ... Street that the town provides, it was one of the best connections we have had. We walked back to the ship for lunch then I put a load of laundry in while we sat on deck and watch the boat traffic come and go. We left port at 5pm today heading for our next and last stop tomorrow of Puerto Vallarta.

    ... another one of our stops on the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives itinerary. Lunch was great, and we had the full diner experience...complete with the waitress decorating Emily's hair.

    ... The show "One" has made a big impression on Mac and Josie. Mac said he could see it again. They can't get enough of listening to Michael Jackson songs. It was very well done.

    We are not resort people - we prefer smaller hotels that exist in towns where the restaurants and shops are independent. We'll be hitting a few resorts over the next week, but I can't imagine our opinion changing. I think we understand ...

    ... on the plane to San Diego! THE LONGEST flight ever!!! I've never been to the west coast...California is amazing!!! We quickly checked in to the Hilton bayfront hotel and went outside to walk around and touch the Pacific Ocean water!! It's so calm and peaceful here...all the SAS kids are here as well but I haven't really met any of them. So glad I have Michelle, Colby and Conal though....I don't think I would have made it here ...
