... Diego to Yuma is always interesting - leave the ocean, up and over the the 4000 ft. Cuyamaca Mountains and down the other side to rocks, the Imperial Sand Dunes, and then the desert. ... we toured the city of San Diego. We had stops at the Maritime museum, Balboa Park and Coronado Island. First port of call is the floating Maritime museum which included the tall ship, Star of India. Looks a bit like the Cutty Sark if you ask me. Initially we thought we’d only be there a few hours but we spent all day looking at the various animals from all around the world.
