    ... course which followed for me was my entree, but someone made a mistake and I was served a small portion customarily reserved for the tasting menu. We ultimately had it addressed, but this together with the incorrect amuse bouche is not what I understand is to be expected at a Michelin star restaurant. This restaurant served the food with a bit of showmanship and drama. To me, it was a little much. I would have preferred better ...

    ... by then we were nearly back in Keswick, so Gregg's it was for a sausage roll, a shared chicken baguette (last one left!) and a cream cake. NOW it was time to battle the hill back up to the site......... After much huffing and puffing we arrived at the top triumphant, legs burning after walking about 12 miles, collapsed in a heap with a beer, well it was 4.30pm. Spent our last evening watching a good film and chilling ...

    ... the centre and have a wander then tea. Chips and a variety of accompaniments later, consumed sitting on a bench in the town centre with a wooden fork, delllllicious, it was back to the campsite. It has clouded over tonight and the wind has got up, not sitting out tonight, so Howard and Debs went back to their tent to watch a bit of Bake Off and we went back to the van for a film. Think it's going rain tomorrow ...

    ... in the little stream we were walking over and Meg the dog was not impressed with the sight of her treats floating down the side of the hill, trying to hoover them up before they disappeared. Eventually made it down to the bottom and over the smallest bridge in Cumbria, stopping again for more photo opportunities. Found a path down the side of the hill through some woods which bought us out by a youth hostel which sold tea and cake, so we just had to stop for lunch, ...

    Up to a sunny morning but after brekky the clouds came in and it started spitting!!! After tidying a bit, emptying the loo and all those other necessary tasks, we left around 11.30am for a little jaunt down the A66 to Keswick.
