My first impressions of Thailand was great, maybe it was the colourful people or maybe it was the fact that I was seeing Bangkok city from inside a air conditioned limo. Yes I found out the expensive way that 'private hire' doesn't mean private taxi but plush long wheelbase 7 series.

We almost did a full lap of the island before finding somewhere at a food market on the northern side where we had boarded the boat for our tour yesterday. We sat down at a food stall at a table on the river. I ordered stir fried pork cooked in ga rlic and pepperand Kirsty had chicken with asparagus, which was served with rice. We were amazed at how good it was to be eating Thai food every day and that here it was just food! ...
