... it generally takes a few years to realise the ****ed up and ridiculously expensive situation you now find yourself in. With a little more research you discover that it is very difficult to get rid of your membership with timeshare, and that you are pretty much screwed. You just have to cut your losses and give your disgustingly expensive membership back to the timeshare, for free.
