100 Islands Resort & Spa Surat Thani

Spent only a couple of hours here, yet it has taken me over 1hr to find anywhere to eat and tehn also i have found an internet cafe. My advise... don't stay here long. <br><br>Moving down to Padang Besar in 1hr. then over the boarder into Malaysia gonna be amazing. <br><br>

We talked for many hours, we arrived in Surat Thani and we took the bus from Surat Thani to Raja ferry pier together munching on homemade Durian fruit chips along the way that her mother had made at their plantation. Took train to Chaiya. No taxis at train station so had to get rides on scooter taxis. A bit reluctant at first given the fact we were wearing packs, and our experiences with the other taxis in Thailand, but the drivers smelt our fear and were very considerate, getting us there in one piece. 10 days silent meditation at Buddhist retreat. ... par des sentiers de rando parfois techniques a travers la jungle, l'attraction principale du coin est le lac artificiel de Chieow Laan, une gigantesque retenue de barrage dans une region truffees de falaises de calcaire sublimes. On trouve plus de 160 iles dans le lac, et une faune sauvage tres developpee. A noter aussi la presence de rafflesia, la fleur la plus grande du monde (80 cms de diametre, et jusqu'a 80kgs!).
