    ... days was Huntsville, a town 110km's from Houston and home to several correctional facilities and location of the state of Texas execution chamber (death row). Prison life in Huntsville dates back to 1849 and is a large employer of the area (along with the University), keen to learn more, we took a trip to the Texas Prison Museum.

    Now, in our life experience in the past, a fire drill in the middle of January is one of the most cruel, cold-hearted, cold-bodied punishments a school could inflict on its students. But in Texas, it was a treat! It was nearly 70 degrees that afternoon, and the fire drill was a breath of fresh air to us. Then we all had to go back inside.... oh ...
