Decided to take a morning excursion to Cassis even though we planned to disembark a day early in Marseille - turned out to be a great decision as we probably would not have bothered to get ourselves there on our own, & it is a beautiful town! Especially loved the little boat trip to three of the closest calanques. Soaked up the sunshine at a waterside café then wandered through the narrow back streets & through the bustling local market.

The french lady asks if she can sit near us so we can keep an eye on each other's stuff. It is nice temperature out. Hot but not overbearing. Our first stop was at the 19th century, Neo-Byzantine Notre-Dame de la Garde, an enormous Basilica that sits on a ...

Sadly not much has happened today, no crazy tourists, mad animals or new species of whale but there is still dinner to go so I may add some more later. Any way let me tell you a few thinks about this ship. Too help people know where they are on the ship the three main stair cases all ...

Today we are in the port at Toulon (Provence) in France. Once again, been here, done this. This is also a more industrial port, so we stay on board again. So more cards, knitting and reading. Guenther has one of his hot stone messages (his favorite) with Marie from Jamaica as his masseuse. Guenther is quiet happy with this and ...
