The Residence, Phuket

... a tour company, in the company of other tourists, doing stuff and seeing things that were affordable and geared exclusively for tourists alone. So how can I form an opinion about anything we have seen, if such an opinion would be biased beyond merit. I shall however sum up our own experiences of it. It was FUN. ... don't know what Ting is doing now, but I would assume it is one of two things: Battling demons in some other dimension (as KP eats demon grass and watches uninterestedly) to secure the safety of all mankind, or having a threesome with 19 year old Italian twins while solving the Grand Unifying Theory, and also juggling machetes. He is that ****ing good.

More relaxing before dinner and guess
where ? Yes thats right Kalika 76 yum. After dinner a short walk
about 1.5 klm south but up the hill then back past Dino's where the
baby Elephant was out the front as usual. The store owners and Tuk
Tuk drivers as keen as ever to get your business but really there's
nothing we need or want and as for the Tuk Tuks after all the food
and ice creams, I really need to walk.

Day 8 ...

... sun and even a half day at the stunning Kata Noi beach nearby. This didn't last for long as we couldn't even surrender to the typical beach holiday for a mere three days and ended up renting a car for a day to see a little more of the huge island, firstly heading up the coast to see more of the beautiful beaches before heading in land to see a stunning waterfall and to visit the Phuket Gibbon rehabilitation centre. ... version of Rufio off Peter Pan with Robin Williams. The Thais are generally attractive people but most of them at half pint sized so we were surprised when we caught sight of Rufio. He kept trying to get us to dance with him all night and in the end he literally dragged us outside dancing in the monsoon rain ... it was so funny!!! Lois was also propositioned by a guy who owned many of the bars and hotels on Phi Phi ... he was a nice guy but she wasn't interested ...

... signs all over the island warning people which way to run if another one hits. We ventured over to the last, quieter beach for a day of sunbathing on our second and final day. It was definitley more peaceful, but still wall to wall with umbrellas and tourists. We had heard from friends that Phi Phi was amazing, and we wanted to do some diving there; so we decided to cut our losses and hop on the ferry in search of a bit of peace and paradise.

... there were also others who didn't want to snorkel. Why was the fuss to leave Maya bay so shortly then? They could have left those of us who didn't snorkel to spend some more time at the island and collect us later... moreover, at this moment there were half the boats on the beach, compared to when we were there. Timing obviously coincided for all tour boats:((( We asked the guide why they don't switch the timing and come to Maya Bay in the afternoon, but the guy didn't understand us ...

Paljo helpompaa (ja halvempaa :p) jäädä altaalle, ku ei tartte tapella hiekan kanssa :) Täällä meil olis tarkotuksena mennää käymään pikaveneajelulla kattoon niitä hienoja saaria ja kaipa noilla muilla rannoillaki pitäis mennä pyörähtämään.. Sit varmaan ens keskiviikkona lähdetään Ko Samuin saarelle missä vietetään viikon verran ennen, ku sit jatketaan Bangkokiin. Mut suunnitelmat tehdään suunnilleen päivä kerrallaan niin koskaan ei voi tietää miten tässä tulee käymään :)

... hotellin tyttönen meinasi yllättää minut vesiletkun kera :-) FantaSea show käytiin taas tsekkaamassa ja iltaisin Banglalla pyörimässä, että ei mitään uutta etelä-rintamalla. Ikävä kyllä minun kantamesta tuossa Banglalla on muuttunut viime vuodesta aivan surkeaksi ja nyt siellä sitten on samanlainen meininki kuin 99% kaikissa muissakin mestoissa täällä, ei hyvä!
