Clean and comfortable Motel with free wifi, but no tea and coffee facilities or refrigerator in rooms. Also no breakfast available.
There is a restaurant on the same lot that appears to be a part of the Motel. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The day started slowly as we slept in somewhat, but decided to visit the USS Hornet Aircraft Carrier museum at nearby Alameda Point. Well, a bit of an adventure just getting there. Plan A was to catch the short ferry ride there, but discovered upon arrival that the ferry on weekends, does not stop at Alameda Point on the Oakland to San Francisco …

Today we decided to take the ferry across the bay to central San Francisco. The plan was to do the Alcatraz tour, but after our short walk along The Embarcedoro to Pier 39 found that tour booked out for the summer until 17th August. Settled for a stroll around the shops and eating places at the waterfront Pier 39 including a brunch of pancakes and …

We parked near Georges house (because we didn’t understand the one way system) and began to walk up towards his house. We asked a passer-by where the Scarlet Begonia was and he directed us. It wasn’t where he said (he was drunk). We asked in a petrol station (they’d never heard of it). Finally we asked in a hotel and the guy new exactly where it was and gave us ...

And of course we were not allowed to take food ashore, though we could take water. During my trip, two friends sent me one journalist’s take on the ethics of letting 40,000 tourists with their craven materialistic ways ...

... crew elsewhere! And, is it really cost effect for United to hand out hotel, taxi, & food vouchers to 300 people instead of finding a crew to get us to BA? The world is absolutely nonsensical nowadays! Thank God for a cute toddler with a contact dermatitis all over her belly to distract and soothe me through the long wait tonight for the delay and for rebooking on tomorrow's flights and vouchers. Thank God for children, especially smiling happy ones with benign rashes like this ...
