Clean and comfortable Motel with free wifi, but no tea and coffee facilities or refrigerator in rooms. Also no breakfast available.
There is a restaurant on the same lot that appears to be a part of the Motel. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The day started slowly as we slept in somewhat, but decided to visit the USS Hornet Aircraft Carrier museum at nearby Alameda Point. Well, a bit of an adventure just getting there. Plan A was to catch the short ferry ride there, but discovered upon arrival that the ferry on weekends, does not stop at Alameda Point on the Oakland to San Francisco …

Today we decided to take the ferry across the bay to central San Francisco. The plan was to do the Alcatraz tour, but after our short walk along The Embarcedoro to Pier 39 found that tour booked out for the summer until 17th August. Settled for a stroll around the shops and eating places at the waterfront Pier 39 including a brunch of pancakes and …

(The actor playing Holmes in this movie-within-a-movie is Nicholas Rowe, who portrayed the character in "Young Sherlock Holmes.")However, as the character objects to the fiction that has sprung up around him, what proves to be the most difficult thing for him to grasp is his own humanity. In applying analysis and logic to ...

... to the car (via Ralphs to get George a thank you card and some wine) and drove up the road to his house. His housemate answered the door and a very big (weimaraner) dog came bounding out! We sat and chatted for a few hours - a lot about the California drought and how it never rains (he worked for a water company), which was pretty funny considering the weather we got the next few days! The boys went to bed and jack and I slept on the sofas. Bed at ~midnight.
