Sat in the departure lounge waiting for a cheeky Wetherspoons breakfast in a lovely new place called the Red Lion. Thought I better have one last true English breakfast before I head off and have to face the appetising plane food.

For me, I really enjoy art museums, but also could be happy wandering around an interesting and beautiful area of town discovering quaint shops and glorious coffee. Although many of the museums in London are free, we found ourselves spending a lot of time strolling ...
... an enjoyable vibe. Lunch called so we strolled down the Lane, a bustling little shopping street that could almost fir a lorry, to the Roccoco for paninis and coffee. Another round of people watching as we enjoyed very fresh, nicely toasted focaccia bread. The 2 hour parking ended all too quickly so it was back to Corsa and on the road to home with A quick stop at Sainburys to replace the French press that hadn't survived the morning ...
... buy stone ground flour if you fancied carrying a few extra pounds home.
The expansive views from the top the Downs are quite stunning and although we had a little rain to start it was now clear right out to the southern coastline. The final stretch teased us a little as we could spot the Jack & Jill pub from the top of the hill. A very nice lunch and a few drinks later we headed off on the last 2 miles to the train station and back ...
