... all using the name Amana and a second word. South Amana, East Amana, West Amana, North Amana, High Amana, and Middle Amana. The residents in the early days received housing, medical care, meals, schooling, etc.Jobs were assigned but no one received a wage.

Today is another windmill day. Seem like there are more and more as we move along. Must say it does not make for a great view. We find it interesting that many are not running. Yesterday, Mike turned 65. He is officially a Senior Citizen. It's hard to believe it was all those years ago, we were just a couple of kids, going to the dance at the Pine Grove Pavilion in Portsmouth.
