Headed for the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in West Branch, Iowa. Passing lots and LOTS of corn fields. Reminds me of traveling in Iowa while working on research projects for Altarum Institute - but now I can just enjoy the scenery.
Last night we stayed at the Illiniwek Forest Preserve Campground in Hampton, Illinois. Very cool campground on the Mississippi River. I've posted a picture on this blog of the campground.
The kids came over for breakfast today. We had pancakes and bacon. It was quite a coach full with Sheila, Lisa, Izzie, Dave, Mousse, and I. Not much room to move around. At least we could keep our eye on Izzie and Mousse. It turns out that Lisa and Dave spent time with Mousse as Sheila and I spent quality time with Izzie. Then we headed over to the mall for playtime with ...
... vet, we also had an identification chip implanted.
After the vet visit, we headed to Lisa and Dave’s. We had a chance to babysit Izzie until Lisa came home. Once Lisa got home we headed to the coach for dinner.

The toughest part of our 67 mile journey and nearly 3000 feet of climb today was ahead, though, as we approached the area of Coralville Dam. In fact, there were several hills with 10% inclines and even two that checked in at 14%. So rolling into the outskirts of Coralville was especially welcome. After we found our campsite, we then hooked up with Jacki and the girls and rode on over to their house. Another day was done ... and some great pizza was on the menu!
