June 7th-Saturday—Up early again as not sure what time we would go to the Portland Rose Festival Parade. It is only a few blocks from here. Many phone calls later we were organized, well somewhat, and after Clark left Monica across from the Convention Center to find us a place he did some Saturday Market shopping and then picked me up. July 24th Tues. When I woke at 7:30 after a good night sleep it was 58 degrees. Been a long time since seeing morning temps of that low. I dressed, took my pills and drove on. As I neared Paisley Oregon and began slowing for a turn--a deer popped out in front of me, and he hesitated for just a second--and we missed each other! It is a clear blue sky day.
