    ... get some excellent lentil soup and a cooked chicken for tonight. Phil’s back still bad and maybe even worse so he is really going to the doctor tomorrow. Dickies Wake is Thur eve with Mass on Friday. Cutting the chicken tonight I stupidly took a chunk out of my left index finger-right where it bends!! Bloody and very sore!! Weather has been overcast and there is a fire a few miles from here. We can easily see the smoke.

    ... Tuesday morning. I squeezed the last of my oranges - ended up with almost a gallon and will take it to James - had to use a ladder and the ‘picker’ to get the last off the tree. The ants have gotten to a lot of them so about 30 went into the trash. Not much packing to do tomorrow-mostly things I have to do like cancel paper and TV and some shopping – need a spare key for Don L who takes care of my place and will get one for Phil also. ...

    ... to do and clean up the mess I just found from one of the cats up-chucking. And pack my stuff and get some of it to the car. Then there are 2 more caches nearby that I want to look for. I am making dinner here tonight – meatloaf, fried asparagus with grated cheese, Southwest potatoes, and pumpkin tapioca for dessert. Phil went to Kristin and family for dinner.     ... Spruce goose - the worlds largest plane - and it is definitely enormous!!

    After that we headed up to Red Ridge Farms to sample their olive oil and honey.

    We also stopped off at Wine Country Farms - but the tasting room had just closed so we headed back to the hotel for a period.

    A little later we went out for a meal at the most excellent Joel Palmers House - famous for its mushroom based cuisine - a truely sumptious 3 course meal, ...
