... along and then celebrated with a milkshake at DQ! Chillicothe is the town of sliced bread. It also has many murals so we obviously photographed ourselves in these as any good tourist should.

Went for dinner with Kettie's friends. 2 Mormon ladies on their mission...missionaries I think is the better way to say it. I was tired but ended up with the Book of Mormon which was very kind of them. I can also tell the kind people back home not to knock on my door now as I already own a copy...

Left El Dorado, Arkansas pretty early and did a big day today - travelled 530 miles - (850 kms) to a city called Chillicothe in Missouri. On the way we stopped at a gas station at Pine Bluff in Arkansas and they have a Stop n Shop for all your huntin & fishin gear - guns, ammo - you name it - they got it! Had drinks at Applebee's when we arrived in Chillicothe - a pretty good chain restaurant over ...

I wasn't struggling too bad but I had to push through it until almost dark to get to Chillicothe. Luckily there was a Dairy Queen to bring up my spirits. It was a long day but I got through it. Tomorrow I will try to get to Moberly which is 82 miles from Chillicothe. Today I rode 75 ...

Spent the morning pleasantly riding down the East side of the Mississippi. Did not see much of it as the roads took me out into the countryside. Not much to photograph but took a few. Then I saw a cool old iron drawbridge crossing over the Mississippi and had to go over it. It had twists and turns just to get on the bridge and twists on the bridge, It was the second funnest bridge I have been on in this trip. Arriving on the other ...

However, Missouri obviously doesn't want tourists to know where they are going. We never found one. We did find a rest area, where one of the cleaners said that they would get us a map. He disappeared off and we waited and waited, until Dean asked again for a map and the man looked at us blankly. It turns out he has a memory disorder and ...
