We leave the battlefield and drive to Chattanooga proper to the Terminal Brew Pub. It is fairly new but it in an old terminal station. I believe the waiter said the old Chattanooga hotel but I am not sure. I actually have a beer (a Belgium wheat) and the frufru sandwich (Chicken breast, pear, brie cheese). I also have the sweet potato cheesecake for dessert. It is very good. While we are dining the ...
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States psubrat93... back at my Hotel. Thanks for today Robert, you were a star and I really got a lot out of meeting with all the contacts you introduced me to.
Tennessee is full of motivated, honest and dedicated staff involved in all aspects of forensic science in this part of the State. they have invested time and resources to ensure that there is a continuity of training and development for their people and this appears to be paying dividens for them. Well done guys, keep up the good work.
... dial his mobile to hear the words 'this phone is no longer in use' and suddenly remember that facebook notes from him said that he had dropped it in a lake! Ah, now what??
I phoned the Academy and they managed to get hold of him. He arrived in a vehicle donated to the centre by P. Cornwall the author who has been a strong supporter of the Academy for a very long time now.
We went straght to the Academy and Nathan told me about the ...
Well, not much to say about Knoxville as we arrived late due to trying to sort out an extra day car hire as we realised we wouldn't make it to Washington D.C. by 11:00 the next day. By the time we got there we just wanted to relax so we went to Ruby Tuesday's for a late lunch and then I went and sat by the pool. We ended up watching back to back movies of Get Shorty and Be Cool (which always makes us laugh).
The next day it was the big pull to Washington D.C.
Bradley's version of today's events: Long drive, which was very boring. We had a good lunch at McDonalds. We have a good hotel. There's 2 king-size beds! I watched part of a movie, listened to music, but couldn't play my Leapster because it didn't have batteries. I still have my $5!
Brian's take: Left Mom & Dad's at 9:02AM!! Heartbreaking as Parker was insistent on ...
... all the time got frustrating, but my general impression was that of an immensely hospitable and respectful people. Were I to go back, I would try to learn as much Japanese as I could beforehand, in order to break down some of the isolation.
Either way, I'm glad to be home! Thank you all for following along. I've had a great time writing, and I hope you've had fun reading. Until the next adventure, stay happy and healthy!

... take some good pictures. It was drizzling and cloudy but still a beautiful view. We found a primitive type campground also. It would be a good place to camp when you want to do nothing but relax!
Thanks to all our family for making our trip possible by taking care of some of our business while we were away! We pulled into our driveway to a beautiful lawn, thanks to our grandson and son-in-law! Thanks ...
... to look around the town, but only took about an hour to look around as we didn't find any shops! We walked to the Gay Street bridge and looked at the Tennessee River before heading to the worlds fair park for a picnic lunch and to look at the sunsphere. (Those who are Simpsons fans, it was just like that episode!) We then went back to the motel, just as a storm was brewing ...
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States zoeandgigsWell, we got up Friday morning and made our way to the airport. From the time we got up in our room in London, to the time we got home was just about 24 hours. We were so sleepy that Michael couldn't evenmake it home. He had to stop at a rest stop about 20 miles from home jut to be able to close his eyes and make it ...
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States semitte... wartime effort, and soon plants with code names such as Y-12 and K-25 were producing material for atomic bombs. Even though it wasn't on any map, the city soon housed over 75,000 people in a conglomeration of trailers, dorms, and odd dwellings called cemestos. Thing are different now. In 1949 the town was opened to the public and today it boasts of good schools, cultural attractions, scenic beauty, an ...
