    ... major hotel chains have resorts on the island. About 40% (south end of the island) is one big development which charges $6 to access so we skipped it. We were at an RV resort & marina on the NE end of the island near the highway bridge. Many bike trails exist but not close to where we are and we don't want to ride on the busy highways.

    We found a Whole Foods market on the island so are restocking fresh food items and drinking water ...

    ... to walk and explore. Habersham runs sort of North east so we set off first to check out Forsyth Park Via Jones then Bull St.. Through Monterey Sq. Forsyth Square is large and lush and has a lovely fountain in the middle. Today there was a Walk for Cancer and there were hundreds of families walking around the park.     After giving me breakfast in bed Kim went with a group and rode a SEGWAY around the historic district. He had a fun time, something different he said. We then booked a 2 hour cruise on a 41 foot open boat to take a tour on the water and play with the dolphins. 2 pm and we r loaded and ready to go with 26 others and CRACKLE and CRASH right above us! wow it was funny watching the Americans say Let me off and they bailed.     ... stand upright and talk - in other words human, so I would have had some one to play with. We found a parking spot and the parking meter was broke!     The drive to Savannah was fairly uneventful. We had decided that Day's Inn and the like were not for us and that we would rather spoil ourselves a little when were spending lots of time in the car each day.
