... compared to the places I normally stay at. And there were tons of porters at the front door, who were enthusiastically telling us, "welcome back." But we had to so, “no, welcome!” It was funny. And they carried our bags right inside for us. Which was good because there were stairs. We quickly checked in and then quickly went to the restaurant for some food. I’d had nothing since lunch, and it was my past my normal dinnertime. Mom hadn’t eaten ...

    South Beach brings the Heat

... we've only slept a few hours that we will venture out into South Beach. So 11pm we are ready to leave on foot. We get lost - of course - but it has stopped raining and the sights are beautiful and the weather good. It's around 1am when we decided to venture back. We don't wake up until midday the next day, to celebrate 4h July.

... before tea. Jeff the club promotor gave us buy one get one free on tonights club ticket, I think it is because we have been out six of the seven we've been here! We had free cocktails and our usual massive bottle of wine before we boarded the party bus to the club. The place we went to was called Nikki Beach where we went to earlier in the week, except it was much more of a club night. It surprises me how busy these nights are all week and the people ...

... In fact, because there were so few of us, they asked if we wanted to be upgraded to the full day tour for the price of the half day. Luckily all of us agreed that we would rather do the half day, as we had other things we wanted to do in the afternoon. So off we went to board our boat, Danger. Our crew was Captain Don and crew member Evan. Our first stop was for kayaking around the mangroves. The kayaks are 2 person boats so if you are by yourself you will either be paired up ...
