... Luxembourg city, and 500,000 in the whole country. Most of the city centre is pedestrian access only, we find the tourist office, and book ourselves in for a guided walk around the city at 2pm. Wandering around town, there's a lot of upmarket shops, and Pete is intrigued by the demolition of a building on the edge of the city centre. ... the tour was really interesting! There was a lovely story about the Duke and his wife who used to sing all the time, but who was actually a mermaid. When she was discovered she jumped out the window and has never been seen since. But every seven years you can hear her sing.  I like stories like that.
