Hamish and I took a train and bus up to Each-Sur- Sure. A very pretty region that is part of one of the Luxembourg National Parks. The trees were past there autumn best, but still pretty. We started off by exploring the castle... now a well preserved ruin, that sits above a town that is in the"u" bend of the river Sure. Then we walked along the river banks towards Lultzhausen. It was a track some ...

Pleut des chats et des cheins aujourd'hui so headed off to the movies in Kircheburg. We went and saw The Man from U.N.C.L.E. it was really good. Same director as Sherlock Holmes . Good filming, good characters. Lots European scenery, stylish clothes and cool cars from the 60's.

After that we went to the Supermarket .... actually quite exciting as it full of the yummiest food. 4 aisles of cheeses !!!

It was peaceful sitting in the patchy shade.  With our icecreams.  Luckily, our food costs for the rest of the day and tomorrow are low. But this icecream is so damn good! And the weather just yells 'eat icecream'.  So we did.  And then we moved from one square to another square ...

... is a nice city. With a population of just over half a million people and an area of 998 sq miles it is one of the smallest sovereign nations in Europe. It is headed by a grand duke and is the worlds only remaining grand duchy. It so happens that we saw said Duke (or Prince), who emerged from his palace, with its little pointy turrets, with police escort and tight security while we were wandering by - a bit of excitement for the dozen or so tourists who ...
