I'm here! Jag är här i sverige! I was sooo antsy about 3-4 hours into the flight. My left arm was tingling (uhoh) and my butt was so cramped. I walked around a bit and got some free magazines in Swedish! I could understand the women's magazine pretty well, but a lot of the travel magazine went over my head! I noticed I was riding towards some cloud cover - which was unexpected because the weather report had indicated it should be fine all day - so I quickly checked the weather again and it indicated that "now" there was a storm over Stockholm, but by 4pm it will have cleared. Berlin proved to be a great city and one to which we would certainly want to return. Two short stops before Russia and the first was Stockholm, Sweden.
We were flying out of Berlin from a different airport than the one we arrived; Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL). Our original intent was to make it to the airport by mass transit but the early departure of the flight and unclear connections at that time of morning had a search out a taxi. After a couple failed attempts ...

... us to his apartment adjacent to the Gamla Stan (old town). An amazing position only a 5 minute walk across the bridge to his work. The tall, narrow, buildings in different shades of yellow and muted orange, the cobbled stoned streets full of curio shops and restaurants and bars lend a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and we can see why Michael has fallen in love with it. The Royal Palace covers a vast area ...
