    We drove into Chicago today. Boy are the highways here confusing!!! They tried to hide it from us, but we found it anyway!
    We drove up Lake Shore Drive which is the edge of town right on Lake Michigan. The entire coastline is all park and beach. No homes or businesses! It's like the coastal commission came through here and said "Nope, this area is for everyones enjoyment. No one can build here." ...

    This week, Thursday, will be four weeks post surgery for us. Honestly, the past four weeks have pretty much been a blur of healing, getting off of narcotics (not an easy task after two years!), and just kind of cruising through each day on autopilot. I'm feeling better most days...some days are emotionally challenging and weepy...but over all, the horrible back pain that I've lived with for several years is gone.     ... had to carry it up the stairs and some of it is so heavy!! Well Jonathan carried most of the heavy stuff up J . We then had some helpers come in.
