... to take a long time. We learned that when you make a reservation at a restaurant, many restaurants will hold that table for the entire night. It doesn’t matter if they open at 7 and the reservation is for 9 (another thing: dinner is so much later in Italy), they won’t seat anyone before you. The same thing goes for if you reserve it right at 7 – they won’t take a reservation for 10pm! And that’s a good thing too, because most of our ...

That phrase stuck with me the entire rest of the trip after Christian said it. Working is a way to pay the bills and enjoy life, not your entire being, your identity, your life. Although I'm pretty good about setting down the phone, I'm not always great at it.

I ended up with 3 tanks, 4 tees, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of yoga pants, 3 skirts, and 2 dresses. I have a feeling that's still 1 skirt and 1 tee too many, but they don't take up a lot of room, so for now, they're staying.

Over the weekend we started the challenging job of packing for our 3 week vacation in multiple climates. Add to that the airline restrictions and it becomes a major puzzle. To play it safe we are taking 3 checked bags. Never done that before. Fortunately the airline allows us each 2 bags so we are good to go.

We're just about done however and we are ready (and excited) to go. Tomorrow ...
