Woke up to sunshine and an urge to do some exercise. As
usual my travel agent had everything planned and after breakfast we set off on
our bikes to visit the Georges du Trient. This is a beautiful gorge that is
situated on a river that has cut the gorge over 200 meters into the rock. The
cliff faces have been equipped with walkways that allow a visitor to access

Mer de Glace trip and visit to the ice-cave was also spectacular – even with the 470 steps to get back up to the ski lift! Got very breathless on the way, but was able to cover nicely by frequent stops to ‘admire the view’ (many other people doing this too)!
