... had his hand in my bag!
But it was the strangest thing, because he didn't "grab" my bag, he literally put his hand IN my bag. And not in a fast, swipe-something kind of way. Just like reaching in. Which I guess wouldn't be surprising if there was something expensive sitting at the top, but there wasn't. It was just my sweatshirt. (Yes, below was my passport, iPhone, money, ay yi yi, but on top it was just a black jacket.) Anyway, I used my Tim voice and said, "HEY ...
... Even the train station was decorative in this way. I constantly stopped to snap pictures of random buildings.
The only thing not so appealing is that only the center of the city is beautiful the outside looks like a rundown modern area. In the center you have all the old cathedrals, a marvelous common marketplace open every day selling fresh fruits and vegetables and on sunday outside there are many tables selling cheap clothes and other random ...
This town was really in the middle of nowhere. There was a huge windstorm and the town was super dead, except for a bunch of seniors at the bar down by the beach. We hung out there to use their internet and to watch an episode of Frasier in english. Not our most exciting day. We tried to rent mountain bikes at our resort but they had put them away for the winter... it was like 20 degrees out!
Alcocéber, Valencia, Spain sofenjon... dupa vre-o zece minute numa’ aud ca se deschide usa la baie si… nevasta-mea. ... is a certain process that I'm used to, a certain level of preparation that goes into saying goodbye to something, and it's all wrecked in this situation. I am coming to realize however, that perhaps it's good. All the excitement and anticipation just builds up, and all of the procrastinators have time to take all those pictures and save those faces to memory. It's one of those rare opportunities for a second chance.
Valencia, Spain laurenlValencia was perhaps at its most peaceful of moments this Sunday morning as nearly its entire population began their recovery from either yesterday's races or last night's San Juan Festival, and most likely a combination of the two. More people than not on this morning's tram ride were disheveled and sand covered at best, or passed out with spittle dribbling down their cheek and wreaking of the previous night's excesses. Last night ...
Valencia, Spain laurenl... complex problem with a one-sided solution. It's narrow minded, selfish, and fruitless. I can not speak with any level of authority to what the compromises in this instance might be (I hope to be getting paid a lot more if the time ever comes in which I can) as my knowledge on the subject is limited, but I refuse to believe they don't exist. I don't believe all of the people in the world are going to be fed, not over night, not ever. Nor that we should let ...
Valencia, Spain laurenl... barrio.) No, the tightness gripping at my chest was caused by the fact that for me, this familiarity with a place signals a different stage of a trip for me. Usually about the same time as this happens, I also realize that there is suddenly not enough time to do everything I want to do. This usually comes right after I feel like I'm ready to go home (some might call ...
Valencia, Spain laurenl... it really feels like ancient times...with the buildings and houses...but it is really interesting to see some different city like that...so thanks to the traveller who has been there and has given me the idea to see that place as well... Plus: here is my tip: Go in the cathedral - it is beautiful but simple - as I was there they had a christian sculpture exhibition going on ...
Teruel, Spain jess84... the cathedral (built in the 12th century) with its beautiful belltowers and the churches of San Martin, San Pedro and El Salvador. Inside the Iglesia de San Pedro are the tombs of the famous 'Lovers of Teruel'.
Near Teruel are historic places like Albarracin, declared a National Monument. The city of Albarracin is named after a Berber king. It is located in an impressive rugged mountainous ...
