    For people who love to see Aeroplane and Gliders Elmira Soaring Museum is a must visit. There are places where visitors can just sit and watch the gliders being towed up in the air, and there is also the possibility to purchase a Glider ride for yourself.

    You can look at the pictures attached and see how the tow works and how the glide works.

    Most of the people get an airtime of around 15 minutes in the glider. The day we visited, there ...

    ... we told that we would wait until the rain slows down. They told that the rains were in the forecast, and we might have to wait long for the rain to stop. Since the main entrance was in sight, and we knew that we can take a Shuttle from there, to the upper entrance, we started walking and in a few minutes, it stopped raining.

    There we took the Shuttle to the upper entrance and were back to the Car. Was time to say bye to Watkins and make the move to Elmira.

    ... to Stream Adventures was supposed to open at 10 (what kind of adventurer doesn't start until 10?) so we headed over to their office at the marina and wait. No one was there at 10 so we called and got the answering machine. There was a free bike share shed next to their shed/office and we saw a couple get some bikes out of there but the other adult bikes had flat tires, no seats, etc so that was a no go.

    Falls and Gorges Galore in the Finger Lakes

    ... PM and stayed a little over 2 hrs. You can swim in the pool at the base of the falls there but swimming was closed that day due to poor water quality. We took the Gorge Trail from the base of Buttermilk Falls up alongside the falls and up a ton of steps. After that initial climb the trail leveled off quite a bit and there were several smaller falls and winding, carved out gorge walls, very similar to Watkins Glen.

    It took us 30 min to get to the end of the Gorge Trail ...

    ... back to the top of the observation tower, we went our separate ways. Chris and Steph headed off to experience the Cave of the Winds, while Cindy and I strolled over to the visitor's center for a cool drink and to take a break.
